This immersive journey is set to take place from May 28th to June 07th, 2024, spanning the picturesque regions of Campania, Basilicata, and Puglia in Italy. Over the course of 10 nights and 11 days, participants will be treated to a delightful array of experiences, including wine tastings, hands-on cooking lessons, and visits to ancient Roman ruins. Day 1 kicks off with a relaxed start as our guests arrive at Napoli Airport (NAP) or Napoli Centrale Train Station. Our friendly drivers will be there to give them a warm welcome and ensure a hassle-free journey to the hotel.

Once we arrive at the hotel, there's no rush – everyone can take their time with check-in and then simply unwind. In the evening, we all gather to head out for dinner at a charming Neapolitan restaurant. Here, we savor the delicious local flavors, getting a taste of what awaits us on this exciting culinary journey.


On Day 2, we dive into the vibrant city of Napoli with a relaxed and exploratory spirit. Our adventure unfolds as we roam the charming streets, taking in the sights and sounds of this lively Italian city. We'll indulge in a local favorite, the best sfogliattelle in town, savoring every delightful bite.

Our journey through Napoli encompasses visits to iconic landmarks such as the Piazza del Plebiscito, where history and culture converge, and Castel dell'Ovo, perched majestically by the sea. We explore the architectural marvels of il Duomo and immerse ourselves in the lively atmosphere of Quartieri Spagnoli.

As the sun sets, we prepare for a culinary highlight of the day – a taste of the city's renowned pizza. Napoli is, after all, the birthplace of this beloved dish, and we'll savor the very best it has to offer. The night extends with a touch of Napoli's lively nightlife, where we can unwind and soak in the local ambiance, creating memories that will linger long after our journey comes to an end.


Day 3 unfolds with a laid-back day trip to the lovely island of Ischia. We kickstart the day early, hopping on a boat for a leisurely ride to this charming destination. Our first stop takes us to the renowned Castello Aragonese, a historical gem perched on a rocky islet. Here, we soak in centuries of history and marvel at the impressive architecture.

Our adventure continues as we head to a unique vineyard on the island. This isn't your average vineyard; it's a place where tradition meets innovation, resulting in wines that capture the spirit of Ischia. As we meander through the vineyard, we're treated to tastings of their exceptional wines, each sip offering a glimpse into the island's flavors. It's a day of relaxed exploration, where we can appreciate both the natural beauty and cultural heritage of this captivating island.

Paestum, mozzarella making, and the University of Pizza

On Day 4, our adventure takes us to the ancient Paestum ruins, and here's a cool fact about Paestum: it's home to some of the best-preserved ancient Greek temples in Italy, offering a remarkable glimpse into the past.

Next on our agenda is a visit to a local mozzarella di bufala producer. Here, we delve into the art of mozzarella -making, learning the secrets behind making this beloved Italian cheese. Of course, no visit would be complete without indulging in a mozzarella tasting and savoring the goodness of freshly made cheese.

As the day unfolds, we move on to a pizza lesson at the Università della Pizza, the very place where pizza al metro, or meter-long pizza, was invented. Here, we roll up our sleeves and get hands-on, perfecting the art of crafting this iconic pizza.

In the evening, we return to Napoli, where our guests have the freedom to enjoy a free night at their leisure. Whether it's exploring Napoli's vibrant streets, savoring more of its culinary delights, or simply relaxing, the choice is theirs, making for a perfect end to a day filled with history, cheese, and pizza-making fun.

On the road to Matera

Day 5 begins with a laid-back morning as we set out on a relaxed road trip to the charming town of Matera. When we arrive, we enjoy a leisurely lunch together, sharing stories and laughter over good food.

After our meal, the day unfolds at a slow pace, giving everyone the freedom to explore Matera on their own during the afternoon. This ancient town, known for its unique stone-carved architecture, invites us to wander through its quaint streets, soak in the atmosphere, and uncover its hidden gems.

As the day gently rolls on, we gather once more for a casual dinner, coming together to celebrate the simplicity and tranquility of Matera. It's a day of unhurried exploration, where the town's captivating charm provides the backdrop for our own personal discoveries and moments of relaxation.

Altamura and the Murgia Pugliese

Day 6 unfolds with an early excursion to the charming town of Altamura, often referred to as il paese del pane, meaning "the town of bread," located not far from Matera. It's a day brimming with cultural discoveries and culinary delights.

We begin our adventure by stepping into a traditional forno antico, an old-style bakery. Here, we have the chance to watch skilled bakers craft the renowned pane Pugliese and focaccia Pugliese, two beloved local bread varieties. It's a fascinating insight into the art of breadmaking. Next, we continue our exploration of Altamura, paying a visit to the magnificent Altamura Cathedral. This impressive landmark showcases the town's rich history and architectural grandeur, leaving a lasting impression on us.

As the day rolls on, we gather for a leisurely lunch, savoring the flavors of Puglia. It's a moment to enjoy the regional cuisine while relaxing in great company. In the afternoon, our journey leads us to the local archaeological museum, where we get to know the famous Uomo di Altamura.

Later in the day, we make our way to the Monastero di Santa Chiara, a special pastry shop known for its delectable treats. Here, we have the pleasure of tasting a variety of specialties and sipping on a mid-afternoon caffé, the perfect break. Additionally, we have a special treat planned for our guests at Caffé Ronchi, where they can savor Padre Peppe, a unique walnut liquor, adding a flavorful twist to our day.

As sundown approaches, we return to Matera, concluding our day of exploration and cultural immersion with a free evening to enjoy dinner at a place of your choice.

Il Salento

Day 7 ushers in a change of scenery as we journey from Matera to the picturesque Salento region in Puglia. Along the way, we'll make a stop for a wine tasting and a relaxed lunch, savoring local flavors. Once we arrive at our villa, we'll take our time to settle in and unwind, making ourselves comfortable in this charming setting.

In the afternoon, we'll explore the town of Monopoli. You'll have ample time to leisurely stroll through town, perhaps stopping for a pre-dinner drink at a quaint café. We'll also visit the fishing port, where the boats bob gently in the harbor and the castle that adds a touch of history to the seaside landscape.

As evening descends, we'll treat ourselves to a seafood dinner, savoring the fresh catch of the day in this delightful seaside town. It's a day that invites you to relax and soak in the coastal beauty at your own pace.

Cooking lesson, Castellana a Grotte, and Alberobello

Day 8 kicks off with a delightful morning as our guests engage in a cooking lesson dedicated to the flavors of southern Italian cuisine. Guided by our chefs from the Artisan Culinary School and Clarissa Llenza, it's a hands-on experience that's as educational as it is fun. As the cooking lesson unfolds, the morning flows seamlessly into a late lunch, where everyone gets to savor the fruits of their labor. It's a meal filled with the rich and satisfying flavors of southern Italian cuisine.

In the afternoon, we embark on a visit to the stunning caves of Castellana a Grotte, where nature's grandeur takes center stage. The mesmerizing beauty of the caves leaves a lasting impression. Our journey then leads us to the charming town of Alberobello, known for its picturesque trulli, the traditional dry-stone huts with conical roofs. We'll have the chance to explore this unique town, wandering among the trulli and absorbing the local atmosphere.

The day culminates in a traditional Pugliese dinner, where we can savor the authentic flavors of the region while surrounded by the enchanting setting of Alberobello. It's a day that combines culinary exploration with the wonders of nature and the rich cultural heritage of Puglia.

Cooking lesson and Ostuni

Day 9 begins with another engaging cooking lesson, this time dedicated to the Mediterranean trio of olive oil, pasta, and seafood. Guided by our skilled instructors, it's an opportunity to delve into the culinary traditions that make this region so special. As the morning culinary adventure unfolds, we seamlessly transition into lunch, where we not only enjoy the fruits of our labor but also have the pleasure of a wine pairing with the finest local wines. It's a delightful combination of flavors that enhances our appreciation of the meal.

After our satisfying lunch, we set off for Ostuni, a charming town known for its picturesque streets and dazzling whitewashed buildings. Here, we'll have the chance to explore the town's unique beauty and vibrant atmosphere, taking in the sights and sounds of this enchanting place. The day concludes with a beautiful dinner, where we can unwind and savor the flavors of the region in the in the privacy of the villa. It's a day that celebrates the pleasures of both culinary exploration and cultural discovery.


Day 10 marks the transition from our charming Salento villa to the vibrant city of Bari, our last destination. It's a day of relaxed exploration and reflection. We begin our journey, bidding farewell to the villa and setting our course for Bari. Upon arrival, our guests have the entire day at their leisure to explore the city, with a special emphasis on the captivating old town. With no set itinerary, it's a free day to wander through the historic streets, savoring the unique atmosphere and discovering the hidden gems that Bari has to offer. Whether it's visiting local markets, taking in the architectural wonders, or simply soaking up the local culture, the day is yours to explore as you please.

As the sun sets, we come together one last time for a heartfelt farewell dinner at a renowned restaurant in town. It's a moment to reminisce about the wonderful journey we've shared and to savor the flavors of Puglia one last time before bidding adieu to this memorable adventure.

Departure day

Day 11 marks the departure day when we bid a fond farewell to this incredible journey. We ensure that all our guests are comfortably transported to the Bari Airport (BRI), where they will begin their journeys homeward, taking with them cherished memories of our culinary and cultural exploration through the beautiful regions of Campania, Basilicata, and Puglia.

Clarissa Llenza

After 20 years in communications, Clarissa started her own floral design shop, Moriviví. in 2017, she returned to her passion for cooking and began teaching. Clarissa attended the italian culinary institute in 2017 and 2021. Now, she teaches cooking classes and hosts private dinner parties under the home cooking therapy project. “I love bringing people together at the table and making them feel good with a simple meal. There’s a particular joy that I take from cooking and sharing my recipes with others, but most of all the culture the kitchen provides for gathering and sharing not only food, but our lives.”
